The area of a square is calculated using the following forumla: $$ Area = L \times H $$ In this equation, \(L\) is the length of the square and \(H\) is the height of the square. You may notice that this formula is the same as the formula used to calculate the area of a rectangle. The difference is that a square is a special kind of rectangle: the length and height are the same.
